Changchun University of Chinese Medicine is one of the key universities under the direct jurisdiction of Jilin province. The university, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China, began enrolling international in 1992 The International Education Institute, responsible for teaching and management of daily affairs for international students has established different departments such as President Office, International Exchange and Cooperation Division, International Students’ Affairs Office, Daily Affairs Office and Financial Affairs Office, helping expand the international exchanges and cooperation programs



Three levels of education programs for bachelor, master and doctoral degree applicants are offered here. The university has established close relations with colleges, universities and research institutions from more than 20 countries and regions. It has also staged many international academic conferences on Chinese medicine in other countries in recent years. With such achievements, Changchun Medical has been highly praised by different social communities and government at all levels.



Changchun University of Chinese Medicine offer such specialties: Doctrine of Epidemic Febrile Diseases, Selective Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, Treaties on Febrile Diseases,Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, , Classical Literacy on Medicine and so on.



The total area of the university is 547,000 square meters including construction area of 376,000 square meters.Currently, the university has 1802 faculty and staff, including 141 professors, 324 associate professors, 6 tenured professors, 20 Ph.D advisors, 140 master’s degree advisors, 1 national “Norman Bethune Medalist”, 3 national excellent teachers, 33 professors honored with special subsidy by the State Council, 16 young specialists done important contributions for Jilin province and the country, 6 senior experts of Jilin province, 2 prestigious teachers



Presently, the university has 14 majors for undergraduates, pharmacology, acupuncture , nursing are national majors with distinguishing features, and pharmaceutical engineering and public affairs management are provincial leading majors. The university has 22 granting authorities for master’s degree and 3 for doctoral degree and currently has 8097 students
